Psychotherapy / EMDR Approved Consultant / EMDR Certified Therapist
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a compassionate and supportive process that helps you navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and understanding. In our work together, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Through this process, we uncover patterns that may be holding you back and develop new ways of coping, healing, and growing. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship difficulties, psychotherapy offers tools to foster resilience and emotional well-being. I may integrate effective techniques like EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support deep healing and transformation. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create lasting change in your life.

EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful, research-backed therapy that helps process and heal from trauma, anxiety, and distressing life experiences. In our sessions, I guide you through a structured process that allows your brain to reprocess painful memories in a way that reduces their emotional intensity. EMDR doesn’t erase the past, but it helps you feel less stuck in it—so you can move forward with greater ease and confidence. Many of my clients find relief from long-held fears, negative beliefs, and emotional pain through this approach. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can heal at your own pace and reclaim a sense of peace and strength in your life.

IFS
Some people hold irrational beliefs about themselves that are called blocking beliefs. These blocking beliefs often get in the way of any kind of psychotherapy.
Examples might be: “ I’m broken”, “I’m unfixable”,” My trauma defines me.”

In order to be successful in any kind of treatment, these irrational blocking beliefs need to be identified and addressed. IFS, Internal Family Systems, is another psychotherapy approach that is successful in eliminating these beliefs and opening the client up to processing other traumatic material.

I combine EMDR and IFS to deal with the blocking beliefs to facilitate change.
Then we can proceed with trauma processing.
I also find that using IFS is an excellent way to map internal parts and to develop a comprehensive treatment plan. I then decide which approach works best for each client and use IFS alone or EMDR alone or a combination of both.

The Flash Technique
The Flash Technique is a trauma treatment that can be used alone or with EMDR. The client puts the disturbing memory into a container. They are then directed to tap or use any form of bilateral stimulation while blinking 3 times and being distracted with positive memories or events.
This is done until the disturbance
level reduces to a 0. If the disturbance does not reduce to a 0, the Standard EMDR Protocol is used to eliminate the disturbance entirely. Sometimes the Flash Technique can eliminate the disturbance entirely without any further processing.
