How to Choose a Therapist

When you finally decide to seek help for yourself, you want to find the right therapist. You need to feel comfortable with that person so you can make the most of your therapy.

I conduct an initial evaluation for you to evaluate me and for me to ascertain what are your presenting problems and to decide how to best help you. If you feel comfortable with me, we then decide together how we will proceed. My goal is to help you feel better about yourself and to teach you new tools to cope with the issues that brought you into therapy. You will make new connections about old patterns and behaviors which will result in new behaviors that are more adaptive to your present situation.
